    The following are the elected members to oversee the running of the Dublin chapter and their background.

    PRESIDENT

    Pierre Yimbog

    Pierre has been involved with JCI since 2022 and has represented JCI Ireland internationally including being part of the winning team at the European Debating Championship and semi-finalists in the World Debating Championship in both 2023.

     

    Outiside of JCI, Pierre is a Co-Founder of the advocacy group Black and Irish and travel start up SoloBook. He's also completing a Masters in Corporate Goverance, and enjoys sports and travelling.

    IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT

    Valerie O'Brien

    Valerie joined JCI in 2017. She has held previous leadership positions and attended international JCI academies across Europe. In 2022, she was on the European & World winning debate team.

     

    Outside of JCI she is a Director for Digital Transformation in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. She is passionate about how digital can be used to accelerate sustainable manufacturing.

    DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

    Sourabh Joshi

    Sourabh joined JCI in April 2023. Originally from India, he is a Chartered Accountant working in Dublin, Ireland. Sourabh joined JCI to expand his professional network locally and internationally.

     

    Beyond numbers, he enjoys exploring new cultures through travel, podcasts, and meeting new people.

    DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

    Neil Phair

    Neil joined JCI in 2023 and has taken on this role for 2024. As part of this role Neil plans to organise events centred around

    building strong networks and learnings from the business world to help JCI members in their own professional journeys.

     

    In this professional life, Neil is a Chartered Tax Adviser (with the Irish Tax Institute) and a

    Chartered Accountant and runs his own tax and accountacy practice, Phair & Co. Tax and

    Business Advisors.

    DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY IMPACT

    Emily Merlino

    Looking for an organization that would deepen her professional and personal network and increase her community engagement, Emily joined JCI in 2023. In 2024, she decided to step up her involvement and join the Board.

     

    Outside of JCI, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and travelling. She is also currently in the MBA program at UCD Smurfit. She works as an Engagement Consultant at Quantic.

    DIRECTOR OF INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT

    Aishwarya Ashok

    Aishwarya joined JCI in 2023. She found the community really energerzing , a place where she can express herself and develop skills by actively engaging. JCI is a place where you can be yourself and help improve the society. She previously was involved in student council in UCD.

     

    Outside of JCI professionally She is an Automation Engineer in Irishrail and she enjoys outdoors and dancing.

    DIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

    Ilmari Leiviskä

    Ilmari joined JCI during the summer 2023. His absolute favorite event was the multitwinning weekend, where other JCI members from five different cities across Europe came to Dublin.

     

    In his professional life, he works in a tech company doing Quality Assurance. Outside work he enjoys sports and travelling.

  • JCI Dublin is one of the oldest chapters of this global organization here in Ireland, having been founded in 1957 with J.S. Leeson as it’s first President. In the years that have passed since its foundation, JCI Dublin has provided opportunities to many thousands of young Irish business people, entrepreneurs and leaders.

    JCI DUBLIN PAST PRESIDENTS
